Barn Conversions - Housing Development
A collection of derelict agricultural buildings in Yorkshire. The brief for the project included proposals to divide the site into several high-end dwellings, while carefully considering the profitability of the development. An analysis was undertaken which included several options for the client.
The design approach was to sensitively restore the historic structures while incorporating contemporary interventions, providing a clear distinction between the old and new elements whilst simultaneously enhancing functionality and aesthetic appeal. This balance between preservation and innovation ensured that each dwelling maintained its unique character while offering modern comforts and luxury, catering to a premium market.
The wider development strategy prioritises flexibility and long-term value, allowing the client to respond to market conditions and align the scheme with their personal and financial objectives as the project evolves.
