Concept Design, Business Analysis and Branding Strategy

The site houses a collection of derelict agricultural buildings and a mill in the Scottish Borders. I was tasked with developing proposals for the site that would best generate rental income.

The mills history dates back over 1000 years from its construction and use by monks from a local priory. It’s location on the stream and proximity to the beach is idyllic and is well suited to house not only holiday accommodation but also community events such as wellness retreats, supper clubs, micro weddings etc. 

A concept and brand were formed which saw the site’s development into a three-bedroom house with detached self-contained annexe alongside an event space and outdoor kitchen. The development is designed to highlight the natural environment through design that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation, aligning with the growing demand for eco-conscious, nature-based stays.
